You're all way, way, way off. The game they're going to announce is the long awaited "Gattaca: the game".
Every time someone writes an article claiming that games have a negative influence on people, the response from the average N4G user is something like, "me play games and me smart man. Gamebing is good smaart for the brains part and me get plenty good punetang. Dat dumb b*tch don't even be knowin what is me about." N4G, you've just proven that woman's point.
I'm always a little offended when people insult video games, since I'm 33 and I play video games at least four days a week, but honestly I don't think there are many truly intelligent, mature video games out there. What percentage of video games have well written stories, good voice acting, are thought provoking, and so on? Maybe 3%? (Of course games don't need to have a great story, acting, etc. because they are games, not movies or books.) Games have a lot of growing up to do.

I'm looking forward to Killzone 2, don't get me wrong, but I can't understand why everbody went insane when they released those Killzone 2 videos. They didn't amaze me at all. Sure it looks good, but it really doesn't look THAT good. I don't think it looks as good as Uncharted. Honestly, close up the textures look downright bad. Am I wrong?
I don't see this coming out in 2008 outside of Japan. Too bad. I'm so desperate for an RPG that I'm actually thinking about playing "Folklore", and that can't be a good sign.

I'm glad that the PSN is "silent". That just means there is less mindless, irritating chatter from annoying 14 year old a-holes on the PSN than on Xbox live.
I would probably buy "Ico 3" without seeing a single video, screenshot, or even description of what the game is about. Thats how good Team Ico is.

I hope they can improve the draw distance in part 2, the draw distance in the first was terrible. Maybe the worst I've ever seen in a game.
The reason FEAR and Orange Box had problems on the PS3 is because developers don't know how, or are to lazy to, correctly program for the cell, not because the PS3 isn't capable of running those ancient games. But I'm sure you already know this and are just flaming. Uncharted, Ratchet, and UTIII all have much better graphics than anything on the 360. Just how in the hell could the PS3 be capable of running a game with the best graphics I've ever seen on any console (Uncharted) and not be capa...
I can't believe that some people think that a hypothetical PS3 version of Crysis could look as good as Crysis on a high end PC. The PS3 has an NVIDIA 7800 graphics card. That is not a very good card, period. You need something like two NVIDIA 8800s to run Crysis on the highest settings. You also need 2 gigs of RAM. The PS3 doesn't have anything close to 2 gigs of RAM. Yes, the PS3 is more powerfull than the 360, BUT THE PS3 IS NOT A SUPER COMPUTER. SORRY.
A lot of Sony's 2008 exclusives are part of really successfull, proven francises. Most of the 360's exclusives are not. Thats the difference. These upcoming PS3 francises have rock solid pedigrees. I own both consoles and the 360 has had a great year this year, but the only games for the 360 that I'm looking forward to next year are Gears of War 2 and Alan Wake. Thats it. Just two games. The PS3 has at least 9 exclusive games I'm looking forward to. Nine. Exclusive.

I thought COD4 looked worse with RBG full turned on. Of course, COD4 looks terrible on the PS3 anyway, and I think the full RBG made the already horrible textures on that game look even worse.
I'm a playstation fan, but how much does it really matter that the PS3 is selling well in France? The population of France is, what, like one tenth the population of America? All of France's PS3 sales don't make a dent in total worldwide sales. How are these miniscule sales news?
I really hope Killzone 2 lives up to the hype. I really do. But what good games has Guerilla ever made? KZ2 could easily disappoint everyone. As for RFOM 2 on the other hand, the first resistance was an awesome game, and Insomniac is an awesome developer with a stellar track record. My money is on resistance 2 being the better game. I would say that both of them will kill Halo 3, but COD4 already killed Halo 3 and is using it's skull as a wine goblet.
